Simple website build
A small marketing or brochure website — a handful of pages, built to load fast, read well on a phone, and be easy to keep updated.
What we build
For a business that needs a credible website rather than an application: a few pages describing what you do, how to get in touch, and why someone should choose you. No accounts, no dashboards, no database — which is what keeps it quick and inexpensive. Choose this when the site is mainly there to be read. If people need to log in, book, buy or manage something, that is a web application and the web build services cover it instead.
What you get
- A live website at the agreed web address
- The site rendering cleanly at phone, tablet and desktop widths
- A design for each agreed page, signed off before build
- Page titles, descriptions and a sitemap live on the site
- Analytics recording page views on the live site
- A written guide covering how to edit content and publish changes
How the work unfolds
- Agree the site structure and content plan
- Design the page layouts
- Build out the page templates
- Make the site responsive and accessible
- Run the launch checks — speed, SEO basics and analytics
- Register the domain and configure DNS
- Deploy the site and go live
- Set up hosting
- Write and edit the page copy
- Establish a basic visual identity
- Build the contact form and wire up delivery
- Migrate content from the existing site
What shapes the price
Before you see a number, our scoping conversation asks:
- Do you already own the web address you want to use? Registering a domain and pointing DNS at the site is about a day, and it is often already done.
- Do you have somewhere to host the site already, or would you like us to sort that out? Provisioning hosting is a day; going live happens either way.
- Will you provide the words for each page, or would you like us to write them? Writing and editing copy is the single most commonly underestimated part of a small site.
- Do you have a logo and brand colours we should follow? Without any brand to work from, someone has to establish one before layouts can be designed.
- Roughly how many pages do you think the site needs? Beyond the first few, each page is layout and content work that scales close to linearly.
- Should visitors be able to send you a message from the site? A contact form means validation, spam handling and delivery — small but not free.
- Is this replacing a site you already have, or starting fresh? Moving existing content across is real work and is easy to forget when quoting.
